Quality control in the food and drug industries as well as the latest methods and techniques in environmental analysis are the current hot topics in the Chinese analytical market. Exhibitors at the fifth analytica China, to be held at the New International Exhibition Centre, Shanghai, China, from 15–17 September, will present the latest product innovations and solutions in these fields. According to organizers, some 445 companies from 19 countries are participating in this year's fair, including several leading international manufacturers such as Agilent, Dionex, Eppendorf China and GE Healthcare.

"The positive response to this year's analytica China among Chinese and international companies underscores the leading character that the fair has developed in China after just a few years," explains exhibition director Susanne Groedl. The number of exhibitors is expected to increase from last year by approximately 37%, with just less than two-thirds of the exhibitors being Chinese companies.

The focus topics are also reflected in the accompanying programme of conferences, which will feature renowned scientists from around the world. Speakers will hold lectures on the fair's leading topics and present the latest findings and trends.
