LCGC and Crawford Scientific are pleased to present a live preview of CHROMacademy at HPLC 2009 in Dresden. CHROMacademy is a primary on-line reference source for chromatographic and instrument troubleshooting. The demonstrations, on Monday 29 June and Tuesday 30 June, will give visitors to the LCGC stand the chance to participate in live training events and demonstrations of e-learning in key analytical science topics.
Topics are expected to include Band Broadening Concepts in HPLC - How to Get Good Peak Shapes, that will be a multimedia look at how understanding the basic causes of band broadening in HPLC can lead to a better peak shape and resolution, HPLC Hardware - Troubleshooting Training Using e-Learning, that will show how effective this type of training can be in reducing instrument downtime in the lab and also GC Inlets - Optimizing Split/Splitless Injection Parameters, which aims to demonstrate the usefulness of multimedia to help understand and optimize the injection processes.
Other topics to be featured include LC–MS - Understanding Electrospray Principles, that will take a multimedia look at the key principles behind electrospray MS and how effective on-line training can be at explaining difficult practical concepts and Solid-Phase Extraction - Understanding Mixed Mode Mechanisms, that will highlight how the many parameters in SPE can be very clearly demonstrated using multimedia learning techniques.
