Mary Ellen McNally, column editor for LCGC International’s “Sample Prep Perspectives” column was recently named a 2026 Outstanding Delaware Woman in STEM by Million Women Mentors Delaware.
McNally is a FMC Fellow at FMC's Stine Research Center (Newark, Delaware, the first woman and analytical chemist awarded this position). In a Facebook post by FMC announcing the honor, they write, “A leader in supercritical fluid extraction and chromatography, Mary Ellen has played a critical role in developing analytical methods that support major agricultural innovations. She is also widely respected for her mentorship, teaching, and leadership within the scientific community. We’re proud to see her work and impact recognized.”
McNally stated that she is “excited and honored to be named a 2026 Outstanding Woman in STEM and inspired by the growing recognition of the impact and potential of women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.”
