LCGC International spoke with Andrew Anderson, VP of innovation and informatics strategy at ACD/Labs, about how artificial intelligence (AI) and digital integration are redefining the scientific method through the AI–digital–physical DMTA cycle. Anderson emphasizes that human creativity and scientific intuition remain essential, even as machine-driven collaboration expands. Looking forward, Anderson discusses what he thinks will define the next major leap in informatics strategy for the pharmaceutical industry.

Andrew Anderson currently leads product and technology management efforts as VP of innovation and informatics strategy at ACD/Labs. He previously worked in technology scouting at PepsiCo, and has served in a variety of sales management, business development, and strategic partnership roles in the scientific software industry. He earned a B.Sc in chemistry and MBA from San Diego State University and started his professional career as an analytical chemist and regulatory CMC specialist at Pfizer.
