Pasquale Avino

Pasquale Avino received his Ph.D. in chemical sciences from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in 1997. He was appointed as a postdoctoral researcher (1997–1998) in the Department of Chemistry at the University of California, Irvine (UCI), in the Rowland (Nobel Prize in Chemistry, 1995) and Blake group. He is currently an associate professor in analytical and environmental chemistry in the Department of Agricultural, Environmental and Food Sciences at the University of Molise, Campobasso. His scientific activity is devoted to the development of innovative analytical methodologies for the extraction, concentration, and determination of organic micropollutants by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry in food and environmental matrices; the assessment of indoor air quality; and biomass and gasification issues in the context of the ecological transition.
