At HPLC 2024 in Denver, Colorado, various sessions will be led by experienced scientists, covering different aspects of chromatography techniques and maximizing their effectiveness. Here is some information about tomorrow’s sessions.
The 2024 Lifetime Achievement and Emerging Leader in Chromatography Awards
February 1st 2024Wolfgang F. Lindner and Martina Catani are the winners of the 17th annual LCGC Lifetime Achievement and Emerging Leader in Chromatography Awards, respectively. These awards honor the work of talented separation scientists at different stages in their career. The award winners will be honored in March in an oral symposium at the Pittcon 2024 conference in San Diego, California.
Rising Stars of Separation Science: Zhuoheng Zhou
December 5th 2023This month we spoke to Zhuoheng Zhou from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium about his research on advancing instrumental and column technologies for modern chromatography and its applications in novel biopharmaceutical modalities and proteomics.
Advanced Microextraction Technique Enhances Barbiturate Detection in Serum Samples
November 13th 2023In this study, an efficient technique is described for extracting and quantifying barbiturates in serum samples, combining ultrasound and surfactant-assisted dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction (dLLME) with poly(ethylene oxide)-mediated stacking in capillary electrophoresis.
Magnetic Porous Carbon Synthesized for MSPE-CE-DAD of Trace Bisphenols in the Environment
May 22nd 2023New MSPE-CE-DAD study indicates that efficiency remained above 75% even when a magnetic solid-phase extraction (MSPE) method was repeated five times, noting that the magnetic porous carbon (MPC) used in the extraction can be easily recycled.
The 2022 Winners of the Lifetime Achievement and Emerging Leader in Chromatography Awards
February 1st 2022Barry L. Karger and James P. Grinias are the winners of the 15th annual LCGC Lifetime Achievement and Emerging Leader in Chromatography Awards, respectively, for 2022. Here, we review their achievements.
Rapid Adeno-Associated Virus Genome Integrity Analysis by Capillary Gel Electrophoresis
October 9th 2020In this paper, two adeno-associated virus (AAV) genome integrity analysis workflows are introduced; a standard sample preparation protocol and an accelerated procedure, both utilizing capillary gel electrophoresis with laser induced fluorescent detection (CGE–LIF) to analyze the released nucleic acids.
